Subject:	SSC Update 101: Rendering on the Grid
Dear SSC members,
 
The National Grid Office (NGO) and IDA are co-organising Grid Asia 2005 - a key event on grid computing - from 2-6 May http://gridasia.ngp.org.sg/.

One of the signature projects to be showcased at the Digital Media Symposium (on 6 May) during this event is using grid for animation rendering.  NGO has secured 150 Mental Ray temporary licenses during this period for this purpose, and welcome anyone to take the opportunity to do some pilot & trial while the computing resource & software is there!
