RE: Participation by SIGGRAPH Singapore Chapter (SSC) in Hong Kong International Film & TV Market Filmart, 20 – 23 March 2006, Hong Kong

We are seeking member companies to participate in the Hong Kong International Film & TV Market Filmart, 20 – 23 March 2006, Hong Kong. It is a major event in conjunction with 7 other events all based on Film & Digital Entertainment called the Hong Kong Entertainment Expo. It serves as a spring-board into the mainland China market. The market there is very big & active. You will benefit from the exposure & contacts both in terms of promoting their services & in recruiting talent from Hong Kong & China.

What is on the Table

On the table now is an immediate invitation for us to participate in this 4 day event. We are working on the following:

1) A 9 sqm standard booth. Commercial animation companies can be featured with Siggraph within the above 9 sqm booth but subject to a max of 3 companies.

2) We would offer a max of 5 twinshare hotel rooms (3 nights each)

Note: Some can check-in on eve of the fair and depart earlier; then another group check in later to enjoy the 3 night and close the fair.

3) The booth offered would be within the Digital Entertainment/Animation zone.

Our Part

1) Air ticket would be via our own arrangements. We are arranging for MDA to pay 30% of air ticket. This is to be confirmed & subject to MDA's discretion.

2) Member Companies that want to share the booth with us are invited to provide a sponsorship of USD 500 upon confirmation (in the case of 3 companies coming, it will be reduced to USD 300). If you are not going, you can pass your marketing materials to us & we will showcase them for you (subject to weight & size constraints).

We believe that this event will serve as a high profile activity for the benefit of our members. We will also use this opportunity to showcase the winners of our ComGraph Competition at an International platform.

Service providers such as those in academia are invited to promote their research and offerings.  Industrial members with services such as post production facilities, game developer companies interested in aligning with ongoing licensed projects and promoting their content and research centers / labs interested in finding an entertainment related industrial show to demonstrate their work at our booth are as well invited.
