Brief
Nexgen
Studio is interviewing on behalf of an expanding European studio for a new
General skills requirement:
-Strong skills in English
(written and spoken) especially for senior positions.
-Experience in the
games industry is a plus but not a must.
-Self-motivated, with excellent
communication and problem solving skills.
-A strong passion for computer
games
-Well organized, neat and methodical in all work undertaken
-Strong
interpersonal and communication skills
Technical requirements for SENIOR
PROGRAMMERS:
-Proficiency in C/C++.
-Ability to design and implement
solutions that are modular and easily expandable.
-Extensive experience with
3D Graphics APIs.
-Solid Graphics and 3D math experience.
-Experience with
Graphics tools and exporter such as Maya, Motion Builder &
Photoshop.
-Assembly level graphics optimization experience.
-Ability to
write efficient/compact code on systems with limited resources.
-At least
three (3) years of game programming experience.
-Preferably Cross-platform
game programming experience.
-Preferably to have strong understanding of
hardware accelerated graphics programming and next generation graphics
techniques.
-Knowledge of entire path from Maya to game
hardware.
-Understanding of Maya, experience in Maya API
programming.
-Competent in all aspects of graphics programming - from
exporting the models/textures, to in game high level code, to low level
rendering code (shaders/dma/etc.).
-Familiarity in advanced vertex and pixel
shaders.
-Preferably some experiences with various middleware (ie.: gamebryo,
havoc, ode, FMOD, etc.)
-AI programming skills/knowledge (i.e.: pathfinding,
character behavior, crowd simulation)
-Physics simulation (cloth, rigid
body).
-Preferably with sound programming (FX, 3D sound) experience.
-Some
Multithreading experience/knowledge.
-Win32 API programming knowledge (tools
development).
-Some knowledge of CVS/Subversion/Sourcesafe
knowledge.
-Experience with leading or scheduling tasks for a team is
considered a plus.
Technical requirements for SENIOR GRAPHIC
ARTISTS:
-In-depth knowledge of Maya and it's components.
-At least 3+
years in computer games or related industries.
-Broad range of skills –
modeling, texturing, animation, high and low resolution work
-Experience in
all areas of game asset creation an advantage – objects, environments,
characters etc.
-Some cross platform development experience.
-Proficient
in concept art.
-Experience with leading or scheduling tasks for a team is
considered a plus.
For Junior Programmers:
-Preference will be
given to candidates with gaming or related academic background.
-Strong C/C++
fundamentals
-Working knowledge of Direct X and Open GL
-Familiarity with
game engines and its components
-Personal work created in relation to
games.
For Junior Artists:
-Proficient in concept drawing
-Some
knowledge of MAYA
-Some experience in modeling/texturing/rigging and
animation
-Personal portfolio of art work
