Dear SSC members, The Lecture/Workshop on Scriptwriting for Animation may be of interest to you. ------ Dear Sir/Mdm, Once again, the Singapore Broadcasting Authority (SBA) is pleased to bring you a Masterclass Lecture on Scriptwriting for Animation. The date and venue of the lecture are as follows: Monday, 22 July 2002, 9 am - 12 noon Auditorium, Civil Service College, Institute of Public Administration & Management (IPAM), 31 North Buona Vista Road, Singapore (275983) 2 This is part of a series of Masterclass Lectures and Workshops on Scriptwriting organised by SBA to encourage and support our industry in creating good scripts for TV. The series aims to provide industry participants and scriptwriting enthusiasts with opportunities to learn the finer points of scriptwriting from experts around the world. 3 For this lecture, we have specially invited Mr Frank Saperstein, an award-winning producer/director/ writer currently with the Philippine Animation Studio, Inc. His lecture, 'Breathing Life Into Characters - The Foundation of Good Animation', will focus on areas like identifying what makes good animation material, developing the building blocks of an animated story, creating tension and building a story line, structuring the rhythm and pacing of visual storytelling as well as maximizing the punch lines and visual gags. 4. To bring a local perspective to the Lecture, Mr Edmund Ooi, CEO of 7G Studios Inc will enlighten on what makes for good animation, and the various approaches to telling an animated story. 5 The Masterclass Lecture is free and open to professionals in TV production and in broadcast-related services as well as budding scriptwriters and enthusiasts. Registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
